Privacy Policy

Dark Mouse Software LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding information when you use our mobile applications or other software products (collectively, our “Apps”).

1. Information We Collect

Dark Mouse Software LLC does not collect, store, or receive any personal data (such as name, email, or phone number) from users of our Apps.

The only exception is our app SpeakMinder. When you choose to use the time-based or timer reminders in SpeakMinder (as opposed to location-based reminders), the app will send the following information to Firebase (a third-party service operated by Google):

• Your device token (used for push notifications)
• A random UUID generated by the app
• The date and time you asked to be reminded

Location-based reminders in SpeakMinder do not use Firebase or send any data.

This information is sent only when you explicitly create a time-based or timer reminder in SpeakMinder. It is used solely to enable the reminder functionality. The data is pseudonymous and does not contain any personally identifiable information.

All of our other apps do not send any data to us or to any third-party services.

2. How the Reminder Feature Works

In SpeakMinder, the information for time-based and timer reminders is stored temporarily in Firebase so the app can send you a push notification at the time you requested. Once the reminder is delivered, the data is no longer needed. Location reminders are handled entirely on your device.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent any user data. The only third party that may receive the limited data described above is Firebase (Google), and only when you actively use time-based or timer reminders in SpeakMinder.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and related Firebase services only in SpeakMinder for time-based and timer reminders. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services in any of our apps.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect our Apps. Firebase also maintains its own security protections for the limited data it processes on our behalf.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy within our Apps and update the Effective Date above.
